Soft Top Seems to Have Shrunk

My soft top seems to have shrunk a touch and no longer fits properly. It is time I get a new one but I'm wondering if anyone has any tips for stretching out a soft top so I can use it for the time being. I t'm talking less than an inch total. I don't even know of some one who repairs these kind of things in the greater New York City area so any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Have you laid it out in the sun for a few hours?

Heat/warmth (shouldn't be an issue the past few days) and patience. Honestly, if it's not fitting during this heat wave using those two things, then it's definitely time for a new top. Badger Coachworks (the best), RoversNorth, Exmoore Trim, etc. etc. etc.

Post up some pics of your truck.

Warm water always worked for me. In this weather just put it on and drench it with a hose. Let it sit in the sun and pull gently on it once it warms up.

Thank you all for your help regarding my soft top. I got it in the sun and it fit. Then, I took it off when it stopped raining and managed to mislay the steel bar that slides thru the front of the top creating the seal above the windshield. I could not even guess what that rod is called but if anyone knows of an improvisation for the weekend please let me know.
