Soft top question - 94 ST

Anyone know if there's a way to make a LR stock soft top made for a '97 fit onto my '94 without getting snaps attached to the top? Appears the soft tops for 95-on models slides into gutters built into the exterior of the truck, while the '94 has buttons/snaps. Thanks again for advice, TM

Get a rail kit for the '94.
I've heard you *may* be able to get them from badgercoachworks.

yes badger has the kit for under $100.

an easy install ,make sure you use a few extra rivets for strength

The 97 is slightly different than the 95 . Make sure you have the stretcher bars that go behind the upper doors

Thanks again for the info. Also the top was installed by the LR dealer this past summer (on the 97). There is about .75 inch of space in between the frame and front doors, ie wind (and rain I assume) gets in -- does this mean the top doesn't fit the current rig correctly? If not is there an after market part to bolt onto each door to plug that gap (besides duck tape and old tee shirts)?

Ask because I'm getting rid of my hardtop and before I shell out 2k for Badger I want to see if this one can carry the day (and save me 2k). Again thanks for all your help, TM

Is there a gap on both sides or one?

If there is a gap on both sides then the top has shrunk.

You might try 1/2" foam pipe insulation from HD on the 5 tab bar.

Or step up and buy the Badger or dont sell the hard top.
