I never liked the winding, flexible tube look - especially with several sections clamped together. Looks too homemade.

The sidemount ones look stock. I recall seeing one painted to match the body color - Epsom Green. Looked great. Blended right in and lost that plastic look.

Ok so really then what's the difference between the side and wing? To me it looks like you could use it either way.

The shape of the Cut out is a bit Different.. 300 TDI and TD5 are Driver side (UK) different than 200TDI and 2.5 N/A are Passenger side (UK) all going through the side of the fender. Gassers all go through the top (The Wing)
