Snorkel Help

Hello- Iam a new owner of a 1994 D-90. I got rid of my 1978 FJ-40 for it . I am looking to add a snorkel to my Defender. Anyone have any recommendations of the best one? Also it looks like I will have to move AM/FM antenna? Any help greatly appeased.

Follow-up Post:

Is Mantec the best or only choice? i have seen them on a lot of peoples rigs? It looks like the side intake might be a good place to get hung up in trees etc.

Too tired to search, right?

Let's see if anyone can refrain from replying to this MOST common of questions!

Sorry I upset you. I actually did search and did not find anything about any other brand of snorkel besides Mantec. If you can help point those links out to me, that would be great. Again my apologies for not looking harder to this most common of questions.

You might want to try the board on Rovers North to get your question answered. The above post is not a respresentitive of the responses you normally find on the D90 board. There's always an as***** on every board.

Keyword for the search, snorkel, and I had 139 hits.

http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...hlight=snorkel

http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...hlight=snorkel

And I wouldn't say Art's being an ass, probaly close to 90% of all questions asked could be solved by a little searching. I read the Rovers north forum every now and then and I see allot more questions go unanswered then I do here.

Thank you all for your help. Even in the old threads there was very little about specific brands of snorkels- more about custom fabrications. But it was still very helpful. Thanks again.

Welcome..

I just had my Mantec installed and love it...
I persanally like the mantec better than the safari
( safari looks to flimpsy)...my opinion!
Plus I didn't like the idea of having a hole drilled in the side
of my fender to get the safari snorkel mounted.
Hope this helps, good luck and enjoy your new ride
