Bill Burk's sliders have not found anything that is as tuff! They stick out a little so they can be used like a step and they also keep you from leaning into things. I have landed pretty hard on them and they have never come close to touching the door.

I have seen slickrock stuff and it is all very nice and I would not hesitate to buy any of it. That said, I think Bill Burkes sliders are the best design I have seen that is not custom. I used many of his points when I built mine. Having them stick out is a great big advantage here in colorado where I frequently am making tight turns around boulders and use the sliders as a pivot point.

Slickrock's are really nice... I have a set that I'm "testing" for Dave. BUT, he's not sure if he's going to produce sliders for 90s yet.

Trevor, you saw my Bill Burke's this weekend.

Thanks for the "put a wrench on everything" advise. It seemed to slove my suspension clunk.

No thanks for jinxing me on that hose. I managed to get a hole rubbed into it from the a/c belt by the time I got home

How do the Slickrock sliders mount. Are they similar to the bill burke ones? Anyone know a price for a set?
Thanks

The sliders mount with a tube in the rear, and a bracket that bolts to the bulk head and the chassis out rigger. It's a real strong setup! I've beat the crap out of mine, without worry. I can post some pics if you're interested in seeing it.

I'm not sure how close if at all Dave is to producing sliders for Defenders. So far he's fabbed up a few for testing. You may want to give him a call, or talk to him at the rally if you are going. I do know that he just moved and is in the process of setting up his new shop.

I am about to buy some Safari Gard sliders from a guy near me but if I was going to buy new I would buy Equipe 4x4 sliders from Draken Offroad or I would buy ShrockWorks sliders.

I think the SG sliders are probably over priced new but they are strong, especially if you get the HD kind that has the thing that mounts it to the frame.

Also I think Rovers North/Atlantic British/D.A.P./Scorpion Racing/Rock Ware/Mantec/Southdown and some others all sell sliders for the D90.

Rovertym sliders are very nice and the guy is great to deal with. I am about to order a bumper from him. Don't worry if it is not on the website he will fab you one for a 90 and charge you the same as a disco or a county.
