Slider recomendations?

I am sure this topic has been beat to death, but I am having difficulty finding a set of sliders that I like for my 90. I am not to crazy about the bar on the terrafirmas, but it is difficult to find a decent pic of anything else.

Any recomendations?

Thanks

Don't get me wrong... I actually have a Slick Rock Fabrication gas tank guard and it's more than decent.

BUT... I don't like the fact that Slick Rock doesn't have a website... And didn't they sell out to EE fully?

I hate that RockWare sells some of their stuff on EE but greed is a killer. Haha. (Not the biggest fan of EE).

To each his own.

The owner/founder of Slickrock is a frequent poster on this forum. He makes great stuff, but his attention is elsewhere, so getting some sliders is quite unlikely. Having said that, just order some sliders from Matt at Rockware. Can't go wrong. Mark

I'm a big fan of the basic sliders that replace the stock kickplate below the door. Simple, cheap, and preserves the "look" of the truck.

I'm surprised bjf hasn't recommended his favorite sliders yet.

I think he likes these http://www.whitecastle.com/

My personal favorite is White Manna in Hackensack, NJ.

I think ECR has the best looking Sliders but they are not available via mail order.

Tom

You are actually right. Both are amazing but you better be close to a toilet when eating white manna.

As for you Horsey, I am not sure why you even start. If ECR sold their sliders I would say yes they are hands down the best to get. Well made and look factory. I may not be a master off roader like you but what I lack in offroad skill I make up for in understanding when something is well made. For example, ECR sliders are well made, while your truck is a heap of shit. My eye may not be good enough enough to see a seam in a picture but I can spot and smell shit from 3000 miles away.

I think one should consider *why* they are putting on sliders to make the decision. If just for the looks, then get whatever you think looks nice.

But if you actually want to put them to work, then looks are secondary. You want them to stick out further than the bodywork, door handles etc. to properly protect them, and they need very strong mounting points.

I have Bill Burke sliders which I don't believe he makes anymore, but you could easily get someone to fab up a set of the same design if you found they suited your needs.

Good luck with those. Let us know what happens when you actually slam down on a big fat rock.

I would check with Brad at www.roxtarfab.com he did the sliders from my RRC and they are stout and as good looking as sliders can be. Not positive he does them for a 90 but it's worth checking

I don't follow your logic. It's a piece of steel and it's connected to two other pieces of steel. One on the front outrigger and one on the frame. Are you saying that this steel is inferior or the way they mount is inferior?
