side marker light

The rear red side marker light is out and I need help taking this apart to get to the bulb. After taking off the two screws that hold it to the body, the entire assembly pulls out. It appears that the red light cover should just pop off. I was afraid to pry on it too hard because I don't want to crack it. Should the cover come off?? I can't see how else to access the bulb.
