Side Marker Bulb Replacement

Trying to replace the side marker bulbs and ran into a little trouble. Once both screws are out, the marker does not seem to budge (not sure the last time these bulbs were replaced). My guess is the old rubber gasket between the lens and the panel is sticking, or is if there is something else to detach? Any help would be appreciated.

Leave it in place, order new lenses (10 buks each at RDS) and then pop them off. Mine cracked in half when they popped free. Once the screws are out, its just grime holding it in place.

Any body damage? Mine seem to be flexing the panel quite a bit when I pull on it.

Matt,
The 1994 and 1995 side marker lights are different. I have a spare set from my 1994 if you break any. I replaced mine with a set of LED side marker lights...they are actually for a transit bus but are an exact match for the 1994 style lights. I will see if I can locate the catalog that I ordered them out of.

If you are just trying to replace dead bulbs they just twist out from the back of the lens. You might want to have a fine file handy. When I went to replace a dead bulb it turned out the problem was the connector was corroded.

To clarify a bit from Marks post. No need to remove the screws. Reach behind the body panel to where the wires enter the lense from the back. Twist the plastic part where the wires enter about 1/4 turn and then you have access to the bulb.

Sorry my post wasn't more clear. I guess that is what happens after a night out at the casinos and bars!
