My 97 D90 (serpentine belt) makes a squeak sound every time I shut the engine off. Is this the kiss of death for one of the ancillary components? If so which one? When it is cold the belt is noticeably louder with a low hum sound. What is the best solution, 1. wait for one of the components to lock up, or 2. try the long screw driver stethoscope trick.
