The LT77 is a car transmission... was used in several Jags and even the Triumph TR7/8

If it shifts like a truck (thinking 1 ton pickup) then the box is probably nearing its last legs.
well... i should partially retract that statement.
It does not shift like a commercial truck.

It is quite "fresh" if I were to describe it. Its no sport transmission though. I've driven the tr7 and 8 and would not put their transmissions into "car" category either. I'm a bit picky probably. No, I am. It should be like it claims to be.

I have been known to track and auto-cross. I love my german transmissions. Even my jeep JK has a licensed version of the transmission in the G series.

As to finding another "R" Its me left hand shifting. I tend to pull too hard and hit the dead space below fifth. Not empty.. just blocked gate type thing.

It actually shifts quite well for a tractor.
