Shipping Top?

Hey All,

I have a hunch that this has been covered before, but I couldn't find the thread. At any rate, I have my eye on a fiberglass top, but it is 1400 miles away. I'd like to have it shipped to Portland, but I was curious if anyone has experience with shipping these tops. The seller isn't super excited about shipping it, so I need to make it as convenient as possible for him. Anyone have a good shipper or other solution?

Thanks,

Alex

Take hammer, smash top, put in box. Ship box.

You might try a fine art shipping company. I'm working with a few right now, it's turnkey if you're willing to pay the price.

The only way to do this is to build a crate for the top part and ship it freight. when they shipped in boxes from Land rover half of them would be broken when they arrived.

They'll build a crate, pack it at the seller's, everything. Will run about $1K all-in.
