shipping parts-freight

Anyone know a good freight company to use, I need to send a crate(70"x21"x24") that weighs between 150-175lbs to Colorado from Georgia. Forward Air doesn't have a terminal in either location, so they are out and some of the local companys are cost prohibitive. I've tried freightquote.com and haven't gotten accurate quotes from that. Thanks for the help!

I used Roadway to ship a T-case in a crate from NH to Arizona, it weighed about 150 lbs and cost about $164 to ship. I also dropped it off at their dock and it was picked up at the dock a the other end to save money.

I can tell you for sure that we have forward air in CO. It's on I-70 and Peoria.

Try trailways or greyhound. Never mind, they only take packages up to 100lbs.

If the people doing the shipping do much shipping they should have accounts with several of the major LTL carriers and should be able to get discounts not available to you, and hopefully pass them on to you. Sometimes you get a better rate if you ship to a business rather than a residential address. If you need a dock in Denver to ship to, I'd be glad to receive for you at my business and hold your box for you or get it to someone if need be.
Let me know if I can help.

R&L carriers should be your best bet. May have to search for a phone number and call.

Good luck
