Shipping an A-bar

I have an A-bar I need to ship. Anyone have any ideas? It's an ST one with the long extensions over the doors. UPS will not ship without boxing it up first.

I've seen many things shipped via UPS w/o a box.. just wrapped in plastic... I had a rear rollcage shipped to me via ups.

That's what I thought but at the UPS Store they told me no. Maybe I need to take it to the actual UPS place instead.
