Shiny Arches

I'm swapping out my beat up wheel arches for new, shiny ones. Anybody ever "unshine" your arches? Can you paint them? If so, what kind of prep?

I've painted them in the past with great results. Scuff them up really well with a pretty course (180 or so) paper, making sure to wrap the corners for the best adhesion. I use a textured Duplicolor Truck Bed Coating (aerosol, available at any Advance or AutoZone) to get the desired finish, allow to dry, then follow up with a satin Duplicolor Bumper Coat aerosol for the final color.

Before:

After Bedliner:

Satin Bumper Coating on top, next to stock NAS flare.

SEM makes a product that Gustavo turned me onto. I'll get the number off the can and post it. Stuff is $20 a can but worth every penny.

We use Bulldog primer and SEM as well. Aerosol or spray gun.

I could maybe just trade you? I should have cleaned them before posting pics but you get the idea. Some patina.

You'll have to go to auto body supply store or maybe order online- I think it's DuPont Satin Black Bumper and Trim Paint (p/n:A-5099S)

I definitely suggest using bulldog adhesion promoter
