seeking advice on mitigation of rusted bulkhead (footwells)
Just bought my D90 about a month ago and am pretty unhappy with the condition of the footwells. the previous owner did a shoddy patch job by just quick-welding diamond plate onto the worst spot. Both the driver side and passenger side have some rust where the footwell portion of the bulkhead meets the forward portion of the aluminum floor panel. I have bought some POR-19 for some other spots around the truck, but my question is, what is the best way to tackle this? I am in italy and not 100% confident in the abilities of metal shops here in Naples. I know YRM makes a footwell kit, but that seems to be way too much considering the majority of the footwell seems to be fine. Thanks!
