Seat belt retract spring?

Can the seat bet retract spring be wound tighter? Mine on my drivers side is much weaker than the passengers side. I was just wondering if you can take it aprt and wind the spring tighter?

Are complete seat belts easy to find at a decent cost? My rear ones are shot and dont want to take a chance with them if put to the test.

Good question. I have found that they do not lock when pulled all the way out and retracted very well. I put my almost two year old in the front seat every once in a while. He really likes it. He says "Defender cool dude". Most cars you can pull the belts all the way out and then they will hold as tight as you need them. I use two motorcycle straps through the car seat for his short trips. I don't understand the seat belts and how they function. I have had trouble teaching myself to wear them.

I replaced mine last year. The old stock ones have problems like you're describing which is why those have been replaced with a different slightly design. Whatever you end up ordering now should be the new style. Don't bother trying to take them apart just replace them.

Where did you get them? Do you recall how much they cost?
