Sealing Borla Y-Pipe Flange

How hot do you think that flange behind the cats gets? JB Weld is rated up to 500 degrees. I can't imagine it gets hotter than that...

Do you think I'd be ok JB Welding that flange together? I seem to think so, but want a second opinion so I don't smell like burning JB on the highway...

I just need to pass inspection... They decided after 3 years they didn't want to pass it with that flange leaking.

i used regular plumbers epoxy putty on my RRC in the same spot. it stank something fierce. try one that says it is rated for manifolds or exhausts from your FLAPS

They have a product for this exact application and it is removable enough unlike JB weld. Go to auto parts store.

Perfect. That was another potential problem with JB Weld. I'd never get it off! Any idea what it's called? Or I'll just ask around.

Found some "Exhaust sealer" at autozone. It worked perfectly. Thanks for the tip.
