Scraping noise when I turn left

Sometimes when I turn left I hear a scraping noise like a brake is dragging.

Thoughts?

Check the dust shield when the wheels are turned. I had the same problem and couldn't see any dust shield contact when I turned the wheels and hopped out to look. You may have to get someone to crank the steering all the way to the left while you are looking at the wheel.

also ensure your bolts for the caliper are tight, if they are loose the caliper can move causing various wonderful sounds from the wheels/axle

I don't know about the brakes, only their unreliability.
