I have the XM roady2 in my truck, and it comes with a magnetic antenna. I ended up sticking it on the front bumper, darn aluminum, it still gets pretty good reception.

Installed my XM antenna under wing vent (see thread Dave posted). Easy, clean and works great.

I have the Sirius FM modulator unit mounted on my dash. I ran the fiber optic antenna cable out the passenger side door along the top of the windshield in my soft top and stuck the magnetic end to one of the light taps on the roll bar. Perfect reception and the thing is stuck solid.

I have a navigation antenna that is similar situation, I too mounted it under the plastic wing vent on the driver side. Very good reception under there. If it's magnetic you may need to come up with a modified mount since it won't stick to the aluminum.

Mine stuck pretty well to the little light mount tabs on the rollcage, though the roof rack blocked reception. It's since been zip-tied to the roof-rack.

Am installing same in the coming weeks. Please post should anyone experience difficulty with the under vent mounting.

Thanks!
