San mateo (ca) defender shop needed

Officially relocating to the San Mateo/ Palo Alto area south of San francisco. Need a recommendation for a general repair shop, for mechanicals. I have a great one in Simi Valley (Yorks & Lancs) and am hoping to find a great one up north.

When I purchased my D90 in this past April I used Cerrone's (650.365.4145) in Redwood City for a compression test and visual inspection as well as a follow up leak down. When my heater core let go (the morning I was to drive her to LA) Frank went into his D90s field kit and rigged me a bypass using his personal supplies (as well as topping of my coolant) gratis. He said that he felt bad that I had a problem the first day I owned my Defender. I know the PO used him for the 8 months he owned my rig and Cerrone's appears to do quality work (steering pump, trailing arm bushings, drive shaft, etc).

He ain't cheap but I don't think he'll bs you either. Just always keep in mind he wants everything done to factory spec or better.

Any recommendation for mechs LA metro area?

West coast British, he is in Livermore which is about a 40 minute drive but it is worth it. The guy is a series and defender expert. He is reasonable with his prices and he knows is shit. There are a couple of other shops in SF that I can send you to if you need someone else but this is where you should go.
