Salisbury diff cover? Options?

Mine is a little rusty and I am going to have it off to install my Detroit so I figured I would upgrade. I heard ford front D60 covers are thicker. Anyone have something they like or want to part ways with?

Plenty of options from all of the Jeep guys. I replaced mine with a Poison Spyder. It wasn't very expensive, a lot less than a Rover diff cover.

Those are all like $150-250 bucks. Anyone have any cheaper ideas? I doubt i will back up and cause enough issues to need that. Someone once said that front ford 60 axles had a thicker diff cover and it was reasonably priced, but I can't find a PN.

Do you have a part number or source since rovertracks has shut down?

Go to ballistic fabrication or Polyperformance and look at their Dana 60 covers. I have Solid and Spider on my Salisburys.

Avoid Balliscrap Fab at all cost.

Go on eBay and search Dana 60 HD cover. I found a guy selling killer HD, laser cut covers for about $100 shipped.

I have one at the shop. It came off of a Salsbury that I got from GBR for a customers Series 2a. The customer wanted to upgrade to a fancier one. This one is marked "Dana"...it's probable off of a Ford. The steel is about .125" thick. You can have it for the low price of free if'n you pay shipping. Call me tomorrow.

Like others have said any dana 60 cover should fit. For what it's worth, I also switched to a Lube-Locker diff cover gasket as well and have been pretty happy with how well they seal with no need for messy sealers.
