Sagging Footwell Toe Box Liner - Suggestions?

My footwell toe box liner keeps sagging when it gets hot (see picture). I was going to buy some new ones but I don't think that will solve the problem. I know ECR has a metal one they use instead but as far as I know they don't sell it separately. What other options am I missing here? Screwing it in place? Spray mount?

I know there are others out there, I just can't remember who makes them. I wish I could, too, as the guy that made my fuel tank skidplate is one of the places, and I know he does very nice work. If I could remember the name, I'd happily recommend it. I do know it's somebody on the board here.

It was slickrock fab that used to make them. Unfortunately looks to be out of business. Shame too, I liked his work a lot.

I tuck the liner up under the folded metal lip and use a lot of black duct tape.
Good from far, far from good. But it holds.

That's not a bad idea. How thick was it and how did you cut it? What kind of plastic? PC? Acrylic?

i'd have to look for the receipts but they have various thicknesses
i bought a few sheets which are actually pretty thin with a textured surface for my first go around - so far no issues they have thicker sheets (no texture) as well if you want to emulate the AL versions as well. i used a heat gun to shape the bottom to match the contors of the tub.

i believe this is what i bought but can't be 100% w/o the recipt.

i have a set of new C/b ones to use as a template, which i could sent out as well.

works well, not bomb proof but much better than c/b

no issues in 4 months for me.

Barry,
Any chance of getting some pics?? I have his rear speaker boxes and love them. I too was looking at the ones from slickrock last year or so. With them gone and no mail order replacements available, these would be perfect!

Mike

I thought you guys wouldn't sell yours because every truck was a bit different.

Here is a pic of the driver's side in my truck.

Thats our own Dave Lucas and I think we should sweat him until he makes more. His fuel tank skid plates were truly a work of art. He had one with him when he came to my place to pick up his 90. I also could use one of these panels for the additional sound deadening it would offer in the Tdi.

We used to like them very tight and that made it hard to mail order due the small variations per truck, but we made a "universal" jig, tried it on about 15 trucks and it all fit, so now we will be doing mail order units.
