Saftey Devices roll cage accessories mounts

Hi All,
Looking to do a DIY roof rack and struggling between mounting to gutter or roll cage.
I like the idea of either tho cannot find suggestions on either style of legs to work from, any suggestions from anyone would be helpful.

Thanks

Need to be more specific regarding application, vehicle and type of cage you are starting with.

Full exo cage? Or one like they put on the NAS 90 station wagons?

I would mount it to the cage instead of gutter. Here is a link from safety devices with details pics of some of the clamps they use. Standard roll cage clamps are readily available at retailers here in the US. Just weld the tubing you want to use on to them

Thanks, I tried n tried to navigate their page.

Yes the light bracket idea has been thought of, just uncertain if they could be weight bearing.

Just out of curiosity, how big was the crate? I need to pick it up as the trucking company is refusing to liftgate it.

I had Zack ship me one for soft top 90 and the freight co was also sketchy about delivering it. They said the box was 1000 lbs. Pretty sure it wasn't, truck was a semi,no lift gate.

1000lbs!!

The crate I have for a RBL172 is 72x60x13 and I was able to load and unload it from my trailer with the help of one person. I want to say it was somewhere around 330 lbs. I think the shipping companies are leery because it's such a narrow crate and fairly prone to being knocked over.
