Rust in back right corner

I've got a decent about of rust / rot in the back left corner and I'm trying to figure out what to do about it. I suspect if I start with a wire brush I'm going to take off the entire corner before I find good steel.

Any thoughts? Should I just fab a new corner and replace it?

Having just installed cappings it's worth removing the capping sorting painting and reinstalling
Plan B new cappings.

Search the word "capping". There are a ton of threads on where to get these and how to replace them. Having just done mine, your best bet is to buy new galvanized ones or have yours repaired, blasted and galvanized. Replacing the ones on a ST are not as bad as removing the top on a SW.
Good luck.
