I can't see the end of the plugs very well but I had wired an aftermarket unit in my 88, let me see if I still have the wiring diagram or something.

that would be great - it had the factory head unit in it and had 2 cord bundles plugged in the back - I assume one bunch it the 8 speaker wires and the other bunch is power, accessory, ground, power antenna, etc but Im going to lose my mind if I have to go much longer without some music to drown out the noises this thing makes!

josh if you have access to a time machine please get me the 49.99 plan on the phone - thanks in advance

The connectors are RISTS TTS connectors.

The 9-way connector (8 pins used) is for the four speakers - front left and right / rear left and right.

The 5-way connector (4 pins used) has - permanent live, ignition-switched live, dash illumination and earth (ground).

I have some adaptor looms, that will plug into these connectors and convert them to the ISO standard -

On my classic that was a 91 it had two amps and 6 speakers. I was able to use the wiring diagram in the manual to remove the amps and bypass most of the wiring. I wired the speakers to the head unit with a pigtail. This is probably the best/easiest way to approach this. If you think it will help I can try to make a pdf of the wiring diagram in the owners manual. That being said only a Classic would have the entire wiring diagram included in the owners manual.

Im diggin that cell phone, is it 4G?
