If you can make a powerful lighweight Chevy motor run with Gems or 14CUX, I'd be all for it. Should I be buying parts from the Buick dealership instead of Land Rover?

I do, unless I'm getting the Genuine part from Zack!

I was wondering what the weight was on it. Damn that is impressive.

Why wouldn't it be good in a Defender? Close to 300hp & lb/ft seems like it would move one around easily enough. And that 7,000 redline could clear out muddy tires.

Wondering if LR dealers can even know how to order parts for defenders.

For the most part I always buy Genuine parts. Sometimes Rovers North is cheaper than my price at the dealer which is cost plus 10%.

Haha - figured that's what you meant.

Thanks for the link. That's a pretty little motor as it sits front to back in the S-10. And those headers... :D

A personal dream of mine is to put this into my D-90. 70mph at 1200rpm. It'll brake your trans / axles etc all day long if you floor it. Thats why its a dream I suppose, ohh and it costs 14k or thereabouts.
