Rover Mechanic in Los Angles?

Can anyone recommend a Land Rover Mechanic in Los Angles. My sister has a 1998 Discovery and just moved out that way...........She had a shop that she really liked work on her car when she was in Virgina, but now does not want to go somewhere out in LA (besides a dealer) without a recomendation..........I told her I would post the question to my friends on the D-90 page

Thanks,

Flagg

Not sure if Riverside is too far away, but Gordon at Inland Rovers is great. His phone number is 951-354-5400.

I thought all those Silver Lake artists and eclectics drove Saabs and hybrids.

Stay away from Bristish Car Service in Inglewood...they're way too expensive to be so slow. And the owner is somewhat rude on top of it.

I've been using Four Oaks Garage in Santa Monica. Definetly not the most high-tech looking shop in Los Angeles, but their prices seem fair and they are small enough to treat their customers right.

I'm having some work done at Rover Accessories currently, and EuroTech is right next door. Charles recommends them. See the www.sclr.org sponsor page for contact info.

Can anyone here compare these shops?

I need my clutch replaced and I want whoever does this (big) job to do it right and take a basic look around the truck while they do the work.

-Huntington Service Center- I have used them in the past.

-California Rover in Encinitas- Really far. But I used them in the past and thought they were great.

-Four Oaks Garage-Never used them, I hear they are good.

Any feedback would be great. Thanks

Huntington Service would be a good fit. A little pricey, but work done right the first time, and they will let you know what needs attention.

California Rover here in Encinitas is now called California Autohaus. They really now focus all of their efforts to the BMW side of things. I had my rover there for a few days and then pulled it because the one rover mechanic they still have is a total pill.

The only place in Los Angeles that I would go is southbay autohaus. I will never take my truck anywhere else again.

Call and ask for Qais. He owns the shop. Tell him I sent you.
