Rover Chrome!

Blinded by the bling! First three are chiquita with the newly galvanized trim, the last one is parts for the dormobile (take off the screens before getting a galvanized bulkhead). And yes, I install all 70ish rivets (I had to do four of them twice because I am an idiot) with a hand riveter.

Oooh, that's hot. Looks like the warped tailgate panel flattened out nicely. Everything else looks great.

Here are some more pix of pure naked Rover chrome.

In the future, remove the vent screens prior to Galv. Then just install them back before paint.

on new bulkheads the vent screens are welded in and do not have a frame like the older ones. but I guess the sport welds could be drilled out and then replaced with small pop rivets

I know... Easy to remove and not damage with a cut off wheel. They are just tacked in. I then used seam sealer and glued them back into the channel prior to paint and prep. Works like a charm.

In Ron's case, he doesn't care since he's installing the NAS 110 style dash and will be sealing up the whole vent area anyway.

This is almost always the case

JimC: Hey Ron, what of this are you sending to get painted?

Ron: None of it, you?

JimC: All of it.
