Rover Accessories hitch mounting

to mount the Rover accessories hitch to the rear X member do you have to remove the gas tank or can it be done from the rear of the truck without hassle. I imagine it would be the same procedure as mounting a dixon bate tow jaw.

I mounted my scorpion racing mount without dropping the tank, and it goes in the same holes. It's a pain, and I did have the skid plate removed, but I suspended the tank with a rachet strap, as was suggested somewhere on this board.

You have to drop the tank. If you have not ordered your hitch from Rover Accessories yet P.M. me first. I want to share my bad experience with you first. If you have ordered it, good luck......

Very poor follow up on their customer service. What I ordered and what I got were two different things. Every time I called a message was taken by one person for another person. Nobody ever called me back and the problem still has not been addressed by them. I will have the product fixed locally and eat the cost myself but I was very dissatisfied with Rover Accessories customer service. The D-90 community is to small to run a business like that. I wish I would have ordered the hitch from RN or British Pacific, I have had nothing but good service from both of them.
I am not trying to trash their business, I just think that a business should honor their word and treat all customers the way they would want to be treated. If the product is advertised as something, sell that product as it was described. Also phone calls and messages should be returned as promised. This is all just my opinion.

Try RN, I think they have all of SG's stock of them.

Try DAP or British Pacific. Somebody has to have them, they are the standard "Euro" hitch.

I have a Euro hitch takeoff from a 110 that I won't use and would sell. If interested send me an email. Removing it didn't involve dropping the tank but, again, that's off a 110.

Here's a pic...

The one that Rover Accessories sell also hangs lower than the bumper, John Lee has one.

Rockware! Great idea!!! I talked to them mid mess with RA and I think it was cheaper that any other place. They also deliver when promised. I got a winch bumper from them and it turned out perfect! Their address is www.RockWare.net .
