Rotting floor channel door sills

I have just bought an 87 110 2.5 with a little rot, its not been delivered yet but it has the typical rust holes on the A-pillars and corners of the floor of the bulkhead near the tunnel no biggie there but the floors are rotted behind the rockers. The guy I bought it from has the channel pieces to repair it but do they weld in or rivet? anybody got any pics or advice on how they replaced there's?

If you are specifically talking about the door sills those weld in on a 5 door (form the foundation for the "b" and "c" pilars), but bolt in on two doors.
There is an under floor support that bolts on top of the chassis and supports the rear floor. These are notorious for rusting out as they are light gauge steel and are channel shaped as well

Just looking at the repair beams that come with the truck, they look like for the door bottoms. do anyone make the floor channel section or will I have to buy the entire section with the B pillar attached

You could get some "c" channel and weld it in with out taking the B pillars off. It is the quick way but may not be the best?

If this is the piece you are referring to, you can buy them separate from the pillars. In reality it is just a piece of C-channel with the holes drilled in it and you could make your own a lot cheaper if you wanted to.
