Roof seals

So when I dip the 110 I figure it's a good time to replace my leaking roof to windshield seal. Since I'll be pulling the roof anyways. That I found a part # for.

Is there any seal material between the roof and the sides? If not is there something you guys are using to seal it up?

I didn't find a part number for this so I'm open to any ideas.

Not sure but so far one of the charcoal gray pearls is in the lead. I posted a thread on here to let the forum decide. Satin black I think is also a top runner.

Yes RN or call Roverfarm. I replaced all my seals when I had my roof off. Also when I was replacing my front window seal, I ran into trouble and had a guy that specialized in older installs come to my house, he was cheap. If you want his number I think I may still have it.

I'd would like his number, I want to do the windshield seal as well but I'm not confident I can do it without cracking the glass.

I'll check Rovahfarm again, I must have missed it.

Confess I reused old seals and so far so good.

The problem could be worse....and have a seal go inside your truck

I reused the heavy seals at the bottom roof and sides. I replaced the seal between the windscreen frame and bulkhead, the windscreen seal itself, and the little squares at the corners of the windscreen and the roof. I used Britparts on them.

A lot of people cry about the windscreen seal, and how the seal seems to be the incorrect size and they broke the glass trying to install it. I can tell you one thing with certainty; you NEED TWO PEOPLE to install it correctly using the string method and a lot of lubricant. Mine fit perfect but was a lot of swearing for about 45 minutes.

Does anybody have a part number for these? I'm at the same part in my life.

------ Follow up post added May 26th, 2015 05:29 PM ------

It's the same part for a 90 SW too I'd assume:
SEAL RH ROOFSIDE-ROOF DEFENDER 90, RNF539, MXC3676 - Rovers North - Classic Land Rover Parts
and
SEAL LH ROOFSIDE-ROOF DEFENDER 90, RNF539, MXC3677 - Rovers North - Classic Land Rover Parts

Brandon, you'll need:

LR053839 - Window Side Gasket, LH Upper
LR053838 - Window Side Gasket, RH Upper
ALR5055 - Window Side Gasket, Lower (these aren't handed like the uppers)

I had no problem using self adhesive household weather strip. $5. Though it would seem most of you are trying to keep them concours ready. caulk strip would work too if you don't remove it much. Nothing special at all.

Hardly anything on the rover is "rover" its not that interesting or large a company. So many generic parts on these things.

Thanks. Anybody know if there are non-OEM options out there?

You're talking about between the top.. the white thing with the rain gutters.. and the sides.. usually with windows.. bolts to the top of the bed rail?

Its a flat thing to a flat thing that isn't exposed to gravity fed water. Any and all seals will work.
