Thumbs down Roof Rack Mounting

Im going to mount my roof rack sometime this weekend.

Is there anywhere that sells like a sheet of rubber that I can use to make a gasket between the ladder mounting plate and where it attaches to the body? Also, for where the feet attach to the cage? I do not want to screw up the paint. Any suggestions?

Anyone have a mounting diagram or picture for an SD roof rack (I have a custom made rack but appears to be modeled after SD one) ? Specifically, where it attaches around the badge/tire carrier area. I have no instructions, and have one extra bracket that is the exact same design as the one attached to the ladder where it bolts to the tire carrier area.

i found this.... http://www.eastcoastrover.com/SafetyDevices.html

in the diagram of the cage, which lists the parts.....
there are 3 brackets external to the ladder...2 long and skinny on left, 1 big on right......do they go on the inside of the tub?
