Roof Rack Lights Wiring

Hi Guys!

When I got my Defender it cames with 3 Hella 100 lights. These were old and cracked so I decided put 4 Rigid Industries Dually Led lights instead but, surprise, there was no wire to the dashboard and seems like never were any wire or switch.

So I'm looking for ideas and picts, always trying to avoid drill another hole on the truck

Thanks a lot

I think you are going to have to drill a hole or two... Unless you can hide the wire behind a snorkel...

The snorkel is on the place so it could be a good option...

Anyone knows how were wired the Camel Trophy Defenders?

Thanks

My guess is a hole thru the roof with a dab of RTV to seal it up. It was a race vehicle, not a show car.

You may need to search the previous threads on this. I remember threads where the wiring was fished through the roll bar then brought in through the wing. Very clean, very tedious. good luck and keep us updated. A good place to look will be in small projects.

Just a tought, use a trailer conector like this:

And put one in each size on the rectangles zone of the picture

From there I can run all the wires to the roof rack, 1 for the spot led set, 1 por the diffuse set, 1 for the rear work light and so...

These wires will end or start under the hood on a fuse and relay box, probably I will get some spare wires but could be useful in the future.

Your feedback is welcomed!
