rollbar lighting

For those with roll bar lights (Hella, etc), what is the path of the wiring from the lights to the power source?

Most of the ones I have seen just use zip ties for the cables. Looks like ECR does as well.
I assume you could drill the bar and fish them internally but I think that it would take forever and open them up more to internal rust.

I don't know if the original owner put the holes in mine or if they were from the factory, but I have a small hole near each mounting tab. I think the original owner may have drilled them and run the wires down to the cross bar by the windshield. When I redid it, I drilled a hole through the center of the foot and the lower mount so the wires run completely internally into the engine bay.

Thanks for the responses so far. So after the wiring goes down the rollbar, does it just pass through the gap between the rear of the hood and bulkhead? There's sufficient clearance but it looks like an area with moving parts (hood going up and down) and a path for rain water drainage.
