Roll Bar padding/protection

installed a NAS cage on a ROW 110. I did not want to use the original NAS padding so I purchased a couple of 3' sections of Lonngacre High Density padding. It's much better than the OEM material.

I am concerned that the bolts would damage my skull if I ever encountered a side hit. I am looking for suggestions.

Should I install a plastic cap (bolt cover) or is there a better option?
