Rockware the only vendor left to source a Tire Carrier?

After searching, it seems the only guys left on the block to build a rear tire carrier/rer bumper is Rockware....or am I wrong?

Mantec is an option too... There are a few others for the SW. Do a quick search, I think there was someone else looking recently and found one for $395ish.

I looked, what I was worried was a couple of them mount to the body, I'd like to avoid that. $395.. sweet. I will keep searching.

How do they compare quality wise? My spare is killing my rear door and I need to get the weight off.

Just reread the paren, so that appears to answer my question.

Problem is I would still be mounting to the truck. I am trying to eliminate that.

Most bearmach stuff is crap, but I have no personal experience with that tire carrier so I can't say. It used to be that you could get them galvanized which would be fine IMHO.

For the record, the RockWare bumper/carrier combo is absolutely awesome. Mine has a low profile hitch, recovery points and a high lift mount, but they'll put whatever you want on there - and even answer the phone....

Safari Equip as well, www.safari-equip.co.uk, will likely get theirs on my next major parts order but for now not too worried about carrying a spare since it is not likely to roll anywhere anytime soon

that sounds awesome

There is a Bearmach here that is supposed to go on the 97 Project but it has no grease fittings, requires you to drill new holes in the frame and body, and isnt even powercoated, just sprayed black.

Whats going on almost every UK based custom parts supplier will either not ship to the US or never responds to emails.. IMO totally worthless like Safari Gard....

Zero customer service Zero Dollars from me...

There are thousands Toy & Jeef custom fabricators out there that can build quality stuff. A tire carrier is not that hard unless your looking for a name brand bolt on POS
so you can have bragging rights on your bio...

UK hate basically. I am not even looking for name brand. I need something strong, looks good and won't rust. But honestly, I think most of the UK companies don't bother shipping....responding...etc etc...is b/c shipping/customs is such a hassle.
