Two different parts.

RTC6398 - POWER STEERING DROP ARM RH

RTC6399 - POWER STEERING DROP ARM LH

Log on to LRSeries.com and they have them there.

I'm aware the parts books shows two different part numbers, I spend lots of hours in those books weekly. That said a 1983 rhd drop arm slides right onto a mid 90's lhd power steering box. If the drop arm is centered, the steering wheel centered, and the front wheels centered when its all assembled I don't see what the difference is that matters. The test is when going down the road and it all self centers. Now the thread in part that goes into the steering arm thats a totally different casting and has to be changed. This is one of the few parts I don't order new when doing a conversion>well this and a panhard rod which also shows as being sided. Figure that one out, no key ways on those nor are the bushings different.

I'm perfectly will to be wrong but having done a bunch of lhd conversions...........

Educate me and show me the error of my ways.

Been a crazy week but finally got a chance to crack open the parts catalogue. It seems they may differ (compare to your vin to be sure).

LR110 up to August 1986

3 bolt (Adwest heavyweight) to vin 243977 rhs

Drop arm RHS NRC8556 (NLA use RTC6398)
Drop arm LHS NRC8557 (NLA use RTC6399)

4 bolt (Adwest lightweight) from vin 243978 to vin 256704 rhs

Drop arm RHS RTC6396
Drop arm LHS RTC6397
