Reverse Switch

I need some help locating the reverse switch on a 51A LT77. I pulled the switch from my V8 77 60A but there is
not a corresponding hole on the 51A.

Also in the rear harness there is a 12 ga (maybe) purple wire that runs front to rear. I can't find this wire in the diagram I have. My harness was damaged and I'm redoing it, but I have all the lights covered and a wire for future rear fog/work light. Any help would be great.

If my memory serves me correctly, I believe it is located on the top area of the tranny aft of the shifter. I believe it is a screw in switch. Accessing it via the floor access -- below the center console -- might make things a bit easier (I'm not certain what a 51A is?).

Purple wire from the front to the rear should be a Power feed. Reverse switch on the R380, don't know the LT77, is on the LH side.

Power feed for what? Where does it connect to?

51A, best I know is the serial number prefix. Earlier model or for my use a diesel version of the 77. The V8 one I have is a 60A. The switch from the V8 was a screw in type, just where you said, but there is no no hole in the same location on the diesel trans.

Isn't a grounding switch?
