Replacing The Spare Tire Carrier and Third Break Light

And if I am going to do that I want to replace them with something I WANT! Found these pictures of tire racks http://rides.webshots.com/album/51076615JlXUQt and I want the rack on the yellow D90. Anyone know anything about that rack?

Sixty people have viewed this posting and NO one has any input. That is amazing!

Yuck. That thing is pretty hideous. It looks totally hacked together. None of the parts look like anything you'd find on a Defender.

Why do you want to replace your tire carrier? Is it just rusty?

Two reasons to replace current tire carrier. One, yest is is rustyand bent. I just hate it when you are going along a trail minding your own busines and a rock just jumps out and tries to rip off your spare tire. Second I have no place to carry gas cans.

Chris, if you know of something that look MORE Defender I am open to suggestions!

Douglas,

I did a rebuild on my tire carrier. The results were pretty dramatic. I'm going to post a thread on this in the "Small Projects" later this week. You might be able to pull it off and straighten it out.
