Replacing License Plate Light

Replacing the light assembly for the license plate and am wondering how to connect the original wires to the new light. It has barrels for crimping the wire in place, not sure how I can get crimping pliers in such a tight place. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The ends of the wire have bullets that go into those holes.

yes just a "plug in" bullet that is already crimped on the wire. Think of it as a British quick disconnect!

Someone should be shot for that fix. Yes, bullets are available. I bought a huge bag for like $20 years ago. Ideally you want the special tool, but a normal crimper does work ok.

That application actually uses a removable type bullet connector. It looks like a barrel with hole in the end and a slit along the side.
You feed the wire through and out the front of the bullet and lock the wire into the slit to hold it in place as you press it into the holder in the light.
Yes, you can use a true bullet connector, but as has been pointed out, you'll need the special crimp tool OR you buy the solder on bullet connector.

I have and can send you the little removable connector bullet if you'd like. Since your in Dallas, look up Kip Motors and he can hook you up with what you need.

I got one of that style from George Down South. Didn't care for the bullet connectors so what I did was with a pair of wire cutters is split and un-roll and shaped to fit a female spade. Worked great and worked for years.

I just ordered this LR license plate light kit from Rovers North and may have the same issue. Please let me know what you ordered for bullets or how you connected it. Would be very appreciated. Thanks.
