Replacing front light surrounds

Hello,

I am replacing the plastic light surrounds on my 1988 110. I am having trouble disconnecting the front indicator and side light. Any suggestions about how to do this?

Thanks
Ben

Cut the wires and replace with some sort of connectors. Pretty simple.

There should be bullet connectors. They are a fairly long lead. Maybe two feet.

Would I access that from inside the wing?

I am just using a black plastic surround from rover north. I just want to replace the older body colored units.

Yes. Just follow the wires.

The original surround could be removed with the lights in place. Unfortunately, nobody sells that style anymore.

If you take out the headlight buckets you can reach the wires, but I cut mine when I replaced with LED's..

I plan to go back with LED at some point. Can I ask where you got yours from?

I have not finished yet but can see the wiring from within the wing - I just need smaller hands!
