Replacement speakers

Has anyone replaced their speakers lately and have suggestions for decent ones? I have a '94 D-90. The speakers are 6"

Many threads with many different opinions. I have the $60 pioneers in mine. Forgot the model number but got the ones that didn't have the paper cones since i run with the top off most of the year.

Steve, look here. Mostly the Tubbies for rear speakers. And yes they have 6" speakers as well...

Thanks for the advice everyone. Crutchfield has the Polks for 1/2 price, so I am going to give them a try.

It is four screws, just undo them and measure and see (watch out, I believe you have to get shallow ones for the front of a 110 or you need spacers.

I also endorse the Polk DB series speaks for their sound quality and weather-resistance, and have had them in both of my Ds. (I have four pairs in various sizes in my current D90. The European Defender plastic speaker boxes for the top rear corners on SWs are worth finding a set of, by the way.)

You can also seemingly always find the Polks on sale somewhere.

The fronts in my truck are kenwoods without screws showing though the grills. Before I started to pull them out and undoubtedly break them I figured I would ask.
