Replacement door hinges?

Any recommendations for which replacement door hinges to buy?

I have seen some pricey ones out there, and just wonder which ones are the best value.

That is my New Year's Resolution . . . "Find more value".

I bought a set of stock replacements here on the board for $50. I figure they'll last longer than I'll have the truck. I can't see spending $500 for hinges.

yup....checked the receipt (don't know if that included S&H or not)...included hardware & shims....I know stephen was asking more for them now...I was surprised when I saw his latest listing for them. He had them listed as take off from 2005 delivery vehicles. He said is was a direct bolt on...but there is some minor trimming that has to be done (search hinges) and the color is slightly off (white but not alpine white). They look slightly bulkier than the stock hinges with different curves. $165 still isn't bad (even if you have to repaint & trim) compared to $500 from the usual. j

Is there any difference in stock hinges and the kit that RN sells as what appears to be an upgrade? Just curious how to tell those apart if you can and if there is a difference.

hinge

I thought you had to do some trimming to get the TD5s to work.

Try Trevor at Rovahfarm....he has excellent prices.

The soft top door capping has to be trimmed a tad to get the new hinges to fit, they fit station wagon doors with no mods.

TD5 hinges are more rounded. Paddocks and the like sell them in the UK but the non genuine ones have a metal spacer rather than a plastic bush ... not sure how this will effect the rust resistance ability.

New takeoff if you can get the gaskets included is probably the best way to go ...
