Replaced fuel pump, truck won't start
Damn, another won't start thread...
Truck was running fine two weeks ago when I dropped the tank to install a Dixon-Bate tow jaw. Decided to replace the fuel pump while I was at it (bad idea).
Replaced the fuel pump and had all sorts of hell with seized fittings and rusted fuel skid bolts. Finally got everything back together and now the truck won't start. When I turn the key, I hear the fuel pump run for 2-3 seconds and then it stops. Then I crank the starter but the truck doesn't turn over. After the starter stops cranking, I hear the fuel pump run for another second or two.
Tank has one jerry can's worth of fuel in it.
I'm depressed and out of ideas.
Priming issue? How would I check fuel pressure on my 94 truck?
