Repairs In Phoenix

Does anyone know a good place to get a Defender worked on here in Phoenix.
LR Scottsdale wants to charge $100 an hour. This does not include the mandatory diagnostics ($150).

Thanks for any helps troops.

I have used Combs Auto for a few things with my other cars & trucks with good results. A friend had them redo his brake system and engine seals on his 1962 series.

What specificly do you need? I might be able to lend a hand.

Dave,

That was fast!!!
I thought I would have to wait a few days.

Well, I am not sure what the problem is. At first sound it is like the exhaust may have a hole, but I checked it out pretty good.
I heard a massive bang the other day heading up the 101 and thought maybe something flicked up and damaged the shaft.
I also want to get OME Heavy duties put on mine.

I may need your help to put the softtop on for the winter. I bought it a year ago and haven't used it yet.
I don't have the door tops on either. The girl is starting to whine about the chilly air in the mornings.

Follow-up Post:

Dave,

Is there a group that goes on any outings?
I am new to the area, and would love to go get stuck, but without a winch I can't do it alone.

Keith,
http://www.azlro.org/ is the local LR club. Check out the web site, they post their outing schedules. I try to got out every few weeks. E-mail me your number and we can hook up for some off roading now that the weather has cooled off. Just curious, do you live near Greyhawk?

Dave,

Yes right in Greyhawk.
Yellow D90. Texas plates.

So I now know the problem. I had a friend step on the gas and I listened underneath. It is a small hole in the exhaust.
Thank goodness!!
I was thinking BIG $$$ for a new shaft, or worse.

I have the 285's on mine but still need the OME's. The tires rub if I make a sharp turn. Once the OME's are on it will be fine.

210 404 1000 is my tel.

I am a pro triathlete and training for Ironman so my time is limited. I wouldn't mind getting out for short trips.
