removing the tub cappings on a ST

It looks like the threaded inserts where the fiberglass hard top would bolt in need to be removed. No big deal. I called RN to see if they had replacement nut zerts and they don't. Can anyone advise of the diameter/pitch/thread/part number and where a good place to acquire them would be? Looks like 7 per capping.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

They're nothing crazy...just an M8x1.25 nutsert. Fastenal is where I've always sourced them. Be aware that you'll need a special tool for installation.

I don't think they all have to be removed. I was able to remove mine with a few still in place

That is you should be able to remove the cappings with the rivnuts in place. At least I was able to do that on mine.

On a 95 they should come off without removing rivnuts.
