removing dents from d 90 doors

hello,

I made a bad mistake. I purchased my d 90 a year ago. The previous owners are from the east and rust is an issue on parts not used. I took off my fiberglass top last summer and at the same time took out the door windows. The threaded posts that stick down from the window and have the nuts attach to them were stuck. I took a hammer and what I thought was gently hammer them out. Well when I removed the first window I noticed dents from the inside out on the door where the hammer bounced off the bolt and hit the door wall. My question is how hard is it to fix aluminum door dents. What is the best way.

Thanks,
Tom (ttrover)

You can put new skins on them. Its not hard. Then just have them repainted..

reskinning doors

how would i start the reskinning process. I figured I would have to buy new doors if the dents were unfixable. Please let me know what I need to start this.

Thanks,

Did the same thing, for the same reason as soon as I got the truck - don't feel so bad. Any body shop thay's confident with aluminium will do a good job. The word is confident!

I'm only good at putting the dents IN. If you get new doors I would be interested in your old ones.
