Accident?

What happened in the Hi-Lift accident?

Was it being used incorrectly?

handle probably sprung back and whacked him. when youre moving alot of weight with a high lift the handle wants to spring back and can shoot out of the jack.. especially when youre winching and the thing is up in the air wobbling around.. a hairy situation.

Thumbs up

Yeah, you have to stand right at the end of the handle and swing it in a full arc every time. Anything else will make it unstable and the handle can fly back under the full weight of the lifted truck. All lifts/jacks are inherently dangerous, especially when used without experience and how often do we really use them? Mine's been used twice - once in the back yard to pull out a concreted-in pole and once at an event to change out a wheel.
