recommended car covers

Anyone had good luck with a particular brand of car covers.
I'd really like one that could be fastened well enough that I could leave it on the car-hauler when I tow it to keep rain, snow and mud out of the interior. It's for my RR trail rig which has neither a top nor windows and just primer for paint so I don't care if it runs.

California car covers are nice. I have one for my 90 and it secures with a cable and lock under the frame. Its pretty secure in my opinion.

I park my 90 outside and I want a cover too. Is the california car cover best for this?

I have a Cal car cover too. For outside use it is ok. You won't use it like you think you will. If it rains while it is on, it will repell water for the most part. However, it fogs up all the glass underneath the cover and makes the interior of the truck humid/damp. Also, if you have a rack on top, you have to prop the cover up. I didn't and after the first rain my entire rack was a like a kiddy pool. With water weighing as much as it does, it was not easy to get off.

Car cover aficionados

I've looked online at the Cal Car covers, seems like a good cover. I then went on ebay, looked at the various covers...even the AMAZING Roll up cover....nice gimmick but apparently a POS.

My question to those who have and have used car covers in the past, what are the important things to look for and be aware of? Below are the point I see used over and over with most car covers...anything else? Any gotchas?
  • None scratch cover
  • Mildew resistant
  • 100% waterproof??? Are the Cal Car covers?
  • UV protection
  • Breathable

Any thoughts this one versus the Cal Car Cover which is about $200 more? Ebay

Thanks,
