Does anyone have the secret sauce for inserting / clipping this rearview mirror into the 3 screw mounting plate. Purchased the following parts and having a heck of a time getting this metal tang to click into place:
See lots of complaints in the UK of this mirror insertion process. Any videos out there to end frustration for this noob and mechanically challenged member?
Dude I went with rear view camera for like $30 (granted I had the ram mounts left over). I just drilled some holes in the base of the monitor and used the bolts for the base plate of the mirror.
Mybluett that was the trick. The spring was stuck in the paint (a new part from Paddock) and using the corner helped this tang fit/insert in the tight squeeze. Thanks
